Can I obtain a fixed quote for my move?
Yes. Your salesperson can guide you on whether a fixed quote suits your situation and help you decide the best option for your move.
What is your cancellation policy?
For local moves, you will need to provide at least 48 hours notice to receive a full refund of your deposit. If 48 hours notice is given and we are able to fill your booking with another job, your deposit may be refunded.
For interstate moves, 14 days notice is required to receive a full refund of your deposit.
How much notice do Brisk need upon booking?
We recommend booking as early as possible to secure truck availability for your preferred date and time. For local Brisbane moves, 2 to 4 weeks notice is ideal. For interstate moves, allow at least 4 weeks.
If you need a last-minute booking and we have availability, we will do our best to fit you in.
I don’t have time to pack, can you pack for me?
If you are based in Brisbane, we can arrange packing for you. If you are located elsewhere, we can recommend a trusted provider. Speak with your salesperson about our pre-packing service.
Do I need insurance?
I want to take out insurance for the move, do I have to take it out with your provider?
No, you are free to choose any insurance provider. We can offer a recommendation if you would like guidance.
Will my home & contents policy cover the move or storage of my goods?
In some cases it may. It is best to check directly with your insurance provider to confirm your level of cover.
Do you provide transit insurance, what does it cover?
Yes, we provide transit insurance that covers total loss if the vehicle is involved in an accident such as a rollover.
While we handle your belongings with care, some risks sit outside our control. For broader protection during the move, you may wish to arrange removals insurance. We recommend Carts Removal Insurance.
Do you do corporate/office moves?
Yes, we handle corporate and office relocations. Speak with your salesperson for a quote or visit our Corporate & Office Removalists page for more details.
How would you handle precious and delicate items?
Delicate items are assessed individually. These items are best secured with bubble wrap during the pre-packing stage before our team arrives. In some cases, heavy protective blankets may not be suitable as they can place pressure on fragile surfaces.
Will my move be completed in a single day?
Yes. Most moves are completed within one day. Only very large moves or long-distance relocations may require additional time.
What happens if my belongings don't fit into a single load?
Your salesperson will assess the size of your move by asking questions and reviewing your property. If there is a chance that everything may not fit, we may recommend additional trucks and crew to complete the job efficiently.
If items do not fit on the day, we will arrange another truck if available or return for a second load. We will ensure your move is completed.
What items are you unable to move?
We are unable to transport:
- Commercial fridges
- Items over 100kg, unless they meet specific conditions
- Flammable goods, such as gas bottles, fuel, oil and paint
- Any open food items
Do you work on weekends or public holidays?
We operate Monday to Saturday and are closed on public holidays.
Do you move interstate?
Yes, we complete interstate moves between Melbourne and Brisbane, operating Monday through Saturday in both directions.
How far out of Brisbane do you travel?
For local moves, we service areas within 300km of our Geebung base for both pickup and delivery. If your move falls outside this range, contact us to discuss your options. Availability depends on scheduling at the time of booking.
